What carpet cleaning method is best?
There are several carpet cleaning methods. One Call's External Extraction method is one of them. This is the cleaning method the majority of carpet manufacturers and carpet fiber producers recommend. For instance, Shaw Industries recommends this method because its own research indicates that it provides the best capability for cleaning.
This method is classified as "deep cleaning". All other methods are considered "light surface cleaning" because they are incapable of removing soil deep in the pile. Also, all other methods leave large amounts of cleaning agent in the carpet after cleaning.
How long do carpets take to dry after cleaning?
The normal drying time for carpet is from 4 to 6 hours and furniture is 1 to 2 hours. However, this depends on carpet style, air flow, and humidity. If you have ceiling fans, box fans, or floor fans this time will be greatly reduced. During the drying process it is perfectly safe to walk on the carpets. But, be aware the damp carpet will soak up dirt off shoes and can create slippery conditions when you return to a hard surface. If you need to use your carpets as soon as possible, we routinely leave surgical booties to wear over your feet so you can carry on your everyday duties. In addition we offer a quick drying package that reduces drying times by as much as 50%.
Do I need to move my furniture for my carpet cleaning companies?
You should not have to move your own furniture on the inital carpet cleaning visit. One Call will move your furniture and vacuum.
Is your carpet cleaning solution safe for pets and children?
Yes. We use an environmentally friendly, green cleaning solution that is safe for the entire family.
Will One Call carpet cleaning remove dog hair or cat hair?
Yes the One Call method removes dog and cat hair and removes surface pet stains as well.
I have Berber carpet - can you clean this?
Yes! Berber carpets tend to be a bit more challenging compared to Olefin, Polyester, Nylon and Wool when carpet cleaning because the fibers are so tightly wound. One Call cleanings are effective on Berber carpet.
How often should I clean my carpet?
The frequency of carpet cleaning will depend on a carpet's use condition, soil condition, fiber type, constructional specifications and color. Generally, residential carpet requires cleaning within one to two years.
I purchased my carpet with a protectant on it. How long does the carpet protectant last and how often should I have it reapplied?
While most carpets are sold with a protectant, it does not last forever. Everyday wear and tear and subsequent carpet cleanings break down the protective barrier. One Call Services is proud to offer DuPont™ Teflon® protection. DuPont™ recommends that it be reapplied with each carpet cleaning. You will need to judge for yourself, based upon the number of people and animals in the home and what works best for you.

I have no carpet in my home; My floors are all tile and wood floors. How can One Call help me?
Ceramic tile and grout cleaning is one of our specialties. We also clean hardwood floors, polyurethane coated floors, linoleum, and vinyl floors. Most people who do not have carpet have area rugs and oriental rugs. We provide rug cleaning as well and provide flood and water damage restoration. Yes, we sure do. Our crews can assess your situation and recommend a solution to meet your needs and budget. Whether you have water damage and need pad replacement and the carpet disinfected, need the carpet re-stretched because it is buckling, we can do it. If I replace the carpet in rooms currently under the carpet cleaning warranty, how does this affect my warranty?
It doesn’t. One Call’s warranty program allows for carpet replacement. If it was under warranty before the carpet repairs or replacement, it is still covered. We can also help you protect the new carpet with DuPont Teflon®.
